Missing Teeth

Presentation:

• Missing 4 upper front teeth : upper canines (UR3 UL3) and both upper lateral incisors (UR2 UL2).
• The 4 retained baby teeth had a poor prognosis and had a poor appearance.
• Increased overbite.
• Crossbite of back teeth on right.

Treatment:

• Upper space reduced to replace upper lateral incisors (UR2 UL2) – 2 units instead of 4.
• Two primary teeth were extracted to help space closure.
• Remaining two primary teeth maintained as temporary replacements for UR2 UL2.
• Crossbite and overbite corrected.
• UR2 UL2 replaced in longer term with adhesive bridges by own dentist.
